Arizona

Wow !
Did anyone go running yesterday ?
Windy & COLD !

What a difference a couple of weeks make, eh ?
Time to try to remember what to wear when it's
below 70 outside.

Re: Arizona

Yep, this is my first season running and didn't realize just how cold it can get.  brrr...   : )   But I guess all those in other states would just laugh at us for complaining of weather in the 40's and 50's...  : )

Ran Sunday morning and got sunburned a bit, but still was nice out. Yesterday was my rest day and today I must brave the weather.

Re: Arizona

I ran the Tucson Marathon route on Sunday in getting ready for the marathon on Dec 5.  Just north of Tucson but normally I run on the east side of Tucson.

But I am looking forward to running in Phx soon.

Re: Arizona

I am thinking of it.  I planned to run last year but I was sidelined with an injury.  I trying to decide if I will be able to swing a trip down there in January to run it.  I will have to decide pretty soon but I have already begun to ramp back up my training schedule to get ready for January.

Re: Arizona

Dat it!!

Coming to town to stroll a few streets with a few of my friends - getting out of ole man winter will be a plus - may have to downsize due to an injury related lack of training (the mind is willing, the body is, well?) - but that is a horse of etc., etc., etc.

Re: Arizona

If anyone is interested, the Sports Authority on Frye (behind the Chandler Fashion Mall) and the West of the 101 is having their grand opening sale.  They're having a one day sale on shoes (30% off), apparel (25-50% off), and other non-running sporting goods on sale.

I think the sale is going on for all Sports Authorities in Az, but I'd call just to make sure it's not the Chandler store.

BTW, I don't work for the company, but just wanted to pass an FYI.

Re: Arizona

It's been a long time since I've posted at CR.
I'm training for the full marathon in Jan.
My goal...is to get there without any injuries. Last year I suffered from ITBS in week 8 and had to pull back and run the half.
So far my training has been great with 2 long runs left in December.
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I was in Dallas and did the Dallas Turkey Trot 8 miler. It was fun to run in the "spirited" state of Texas!
I'm planning on racing in the Cave Creek 4 miler on December 11th. I've heard it's a beautiful race with all the lights!
