Re: Arizona

Great race up in Cave Creek this past Saturday.
It was a beautiful night and I felt really good even with all those hills, I managed to finish in 32 minutes!
I might run in the Lifetime Fitness 3.5 miler this Sunday
I had a nice 4 mile run on the South Mtn. trails today.
Interesting article, I really love Pemberton Trail when I can find the time to drive up there from the East Valley.
Happy running Zonies!

Re: Arizona

Hi guys,

Nice to see some AZ runners on-line.

Ran the Tucson half marathon as a trainer: hopefully no one else
did! Mile 7 was long, although we still await official word from the
race director. I've had it with the local Tucson races and the SAR
club... great group of guys, nice people, but can't put it together
in the form of races. USATF certified my a**.

Hoping the Rock and Roll marathon will be different! Next week
is the last hard week for me, then taper until 9 Jan.

Anyone have comments on the course?

My current concern is logistical: I heard the traffic at the start
last year was crazy, so I have a hotel room 1 mi from start.
But there aren't any shuttles from finish to back to the start!!!
Will it be tough to get a taxi from the finish area? Ideas?

MC

"Stars" set to run PF Chang R&R???

I must really be out of it; I've never heard of any of those stars.
Maybe I've been running too much....

Re: Arizona

Only 1 week away..
who is planning on running the full or the half? Let's get a list going.
Is anyone planning on not running but volunteering?
I'm in Corral #5 with a hope to finish time between 4 or 4:30.
List your name and corral # .

Yes, the hills at South Mtn. are tough but I love trail running.

Re: Arizona

WOW!!  People are posting in AZ.  Woohoo!  I signed up on this thing a long time ago and haven't been back in a while.  I'm volunteering at the PF Chang's RnR marathon.  I'll be working at the Expo on Saturday morning and the finish line on Sunday.  Looking forward to it!!

Re: Arizona

I am running the half tomorrow and I'm scared!
My training sort of (completely) went to the dogs over the holidays and now I am just hoping to finish without walking. Ugh. Still, I cant wait! Should be a good time, if not a little chilly at the start ~ Brrr!

Good luck to all!
