Ocean City, MD Marathon

This is a new marathon being run in Maryland. I was thinking of doing it. Anyone have any input into the area? (I would much rather run in Maryland in April as opposed to October or November!)

Thanks!

Interesting, this is the first I've heard of it - just went to the
website. Ocean City is a nice little town. The only concern
I would have would be that it would be a little bit too warm
and humid in mid-April. But, in either case, it's bound to
be a good time. Either a bit too warm for a marathon (in
which case you can just take it easy in the race) or too
cool for the beach. I may sign up myself! It can be another
marathon I sign up for under the guise of being a family
fun event!

That's too bad. Just bad timing. I had that happen on
my last trip to Honolulu, once to Malibu, and once for
a week in Virginia Beach. Not characteristic in OC more
than any other beach area.

Live in MD and that's the first I've heard of it.... can't seem to get much info on a website.

I would say it's a crapshoot for weather in April; it may be warm as leitnerj says; but likely cooler and windy near the shore. Oct./ Nov. weather is typically more settled here.

Good luck! and make sure you bring home some Fishers caramel popcorn.

From what I've heard, it's in the western part of the town, and down toward Assateague Island, away from the beach and boardwalk. Which, yes, seems very odd, but it will probably cut down on the wind, too. I would not expect it to be that warm.
