Holy ****, it's -21 outside.

Wow. What a country.

Anyone racing the Achilles 5k on Sunday? The forecast currently predicts a high of -3 with a 90% chance of light snow, and winds of 25 km/h. ****. I'm SO drafting behind someone.

Something is wrong in the world when you guys are getting
-21degC temps
and in Calgary, we're getting
+14degC temps today.

Today was MUCH warmer than yesterday

I had the fun sensation of hopping in the shower, soaking my hair in warm water, and then all the ice in my hair melted off and went right down my back .

I gotta remember to register for the bay by the weeks end to avoid a 10 dollar penalty.

I'll be there and not expecting much. The new course is perfectly flat, though, which is nice.

It's my ploy to get all my running friends to move out here!

Well, if it's around freezing, it's not terrible. I've run races just at or a few degrees below freezing. I think the wind will be a much more significant factor, although I don't much relish the thought of wearing my bulky gloves. I guess I'll have to buy a cheap pair of dollar store gloves from Chinatown.

OK, I surrender.

I have a cold. I was worried that I was going to go through this whole winter without getting a cold, but now I can consider winter complete. Spring can come now.

Anyone running Mississauga in May? The 1/2 was a hoot last year. I know jc ran the 10k twice, he didn't wanna pay for the whole half (or half of the whole or whatever). I'm gonna run the full if my training holds up over the next 6 weeks.

I'm running the 10k, which is great since it's an evening start.

Re: Ontario Runners Forum 2005
Patti...I ran today and my foot still hurt SO I said, "What the heck...I may as well run ATB next week.

It may take me about 4 hours, but hey...it doesn't get dark too early. If you don't mind waiting around until mid-afternoon for me to finish we can surely drive there together.

My buddy Erika was all set to run ATB as she now had one good training run in the past 6 weeks with last week's half....BUT I reminded her that she will be skiing in Utah..."Oh, is it that soon?"...Ya gotta love her. Perhaps a touch lackadaisical in her training program.

aurang...how bout them spiffy new red shirts?? How many "pulls" in the thread do you have already. The leader in our store has 5.

Hah, yesterday was my first day working in them. I didn't notice any pulled threads, but I'm quite wary of their capacity of retaining odours.

Ergo, I may have become the first person in history to wear cotton under a synthetic shirt.
