Maine Runners

I was skiing all weekend and wanted to run but didn't. My goal is 20 miles per week (ultimate goal is 1,000 miles for 2005) which will be tough since I go away every weekend (to ski). I figure 3 week days during the work week at the gym works for me but I dont know about cramming 20 miles into 3 days...that would be a stretch for me. At any rate, it's something to work towards. I can pick up the lost miles in the Spring/Summer/Fall I guess....

We didnt get a whole lot of fresh pow at the Loaf this weekend. I was surprised to have to shovel/scrap off my veh when I got home. ...and WOW..they plow Back Bay!!! I did not know this!

Re: Maine Runners
TRY running double runs, run 2 1/2 miles in the morning and 4 1/2 in the evening or the other way around.

2005 Calendar of Canadian Ultras - http://www.ClubFatAss.com/cdn_ultras.html[/URL" target="_blank">

Hi to all Maine area runners from Canada!

How are those New Years resolutions coming?

If your goals for 2005 include running an ultramarathon in Canada, you might find the Calendar of Canadian Ultras to be helpful resource:
http://www.ClubFatAss.com/cdn_ultras.html[/URL" target="_blank">

Over the past couple of months, I have contacted the race directors of all Canadian ultramarathons (distances greater than the 42.2K marathon) to confirm the dates and locations of their event. I've also updated and confirmed with each race director that the contact information on the calendar is up-to-date.

This calendar is intended to be a complete resource for ultrarunners in Canada and worldwide, so I've included links to the calendars of provincial series, as well.

Happy New Year... and happy trails,

Sibylle

PS The information this calendar is quite widely referenced worldwide and many other online calendars feed from it. If you know of an ultra in Canada that I've not listed, if you know that one of the listed events has been cancelled or you feel that some relevant information is missing, please let me know so I might share it with the wider ultra community
