Hey, Dawn, spending time with family isn't an excuse, its a priority, working hard, its required, so please don't be hard on yourself - I think its amazing you got in 4 workouts! Nice setting, however!

I am still here - more of a runner in my heart than reality the last couple weeks. I am now officially the Treasurer for the Town of Oakville . I am very happy about it, huge weight off my shoulders. I was "acting" since Sept, and the whole time felt I was under the microscope, while the other external candidates were not. Getting the job is a nice vote of confidence and now I am off until January 2nd - so looking forward to the break - and no dinner to cook, as its not my year to host the family!

I ran tonight (first time in a week), hit the gym. If it's not raining tomorow I running outside

Merry Christmas Everyone

Does this mean you get the map to where the treasure is buried?

Congrats!

Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings everyone!

I'm just hooking up a wireless router and the PS2 online connections for my son, everything seems functional at this point.

7.3 miles yesterday, slogging through messy snow through the park then tempo paced on the asphalt further up...the tempo feels a lot harder after getting off the slippery stuff.

Really? It feels much easier, though the impact is harder.

I didn't run yesterday because I didn't have enough time, and now I realize that I've forgotten my shoes at work. Well, I have about eight different pairs of running/racing shoes in various states of usefulness, so I'll see what I can do for today's 2-hour run.

Merry Christmas to all.

Re: Ontario Runners Forum 2005 - Pt. II
Merry Boxing Day folks

Had a great Christmas Eve with a giant party (mainly friends of the offspring) that featured both a fight and a fire...as chronicled in Clubhouse.

I hosted the family yesterday and it was a smashing success.

Actually thought yetserday of going to Hamilton this morning to run the 10-miler...but I sat down and the thought passed. I have run twice in 3 weeks so figured I might as well become a resolutionist on Jan 1. Still have a bit of the old tickle cough in my upper respiratory system. I love asthma.

Patti I am reading a book called Sharks in the Desert, about the building and financing of Vegas casinos. I think the treaurers there were very creative. Hopefully you are the same and will soon be living in a 20,000 sq foot home on Lakeshore Blvd overlooking the lake.

Congrats to you...don't forget we little people.

Yeah, my roof is leaking and I need money for Starbucks. Gimme gimme gimme!

I ended up running an hour yesterday in old, old trainers (probably close to 2,000 kilometres on them, plus my dad's long marches around town). I did my long run today, hitting 2 hours and 25 km for the first time ever. Good run, but then I drank a bottle of Gatorade like a fiend and downed two hot dogs in about six minutes.

I ran mostly along Yonge Street, but I avoided the Yonge Street strip because I figured it would be wildly busy. Good thing I did because two people were killed outside the Eaton Centre. I saw the police cars racing down Yonge as I was on my way back, but didn't think much of it, even when they kept coming.

Hey Eddie - I thought it was closer to $15 million - the Microsoft exec property thats for sale was close to $40 million - he has to split the proceeds as its due to a "split". Oakville has the highest family income in the GTA so I think that means the province. Boy, are some of them ever upset with their property assessments - some up 79 to 90% in a year and 1/2.

Hey JC - I supposedly got the job because I'm creative, but not like those Vegas guys - I thought the mob built Vegas! And I will never forget about you guys

And, Jim, I do get the map and a set of gold keys to the chest!

Thanks for the congrats guys. Hope you all had good a Christmas. Enjoying doing nothing the last couple days - I have run three times since Thursday - nothing longer than 7 k, but it felt good. Developing the plan of attack for 2006.

I wasn't really in shape for it, and I committed to work for time-and-a-half pay anyway.

It's still not very cold, but there's a lot of ice out there. I had a lot of near-misses, but I thought it made things more fun. Go figure. The run was a 40-minute fartlek, 67 minutes including warmup/cooldown.

Happy New Years Eve! Yes, I am sitting at home.....went to a movie with the boy and some buddies and now they are having a sleep over. First time in ages I remember being home and quiet on New Years. It will seem wierd to start the year without a hang-over

Pretty well everyone I know was just staying in tonight. We must be getting old!

I've run 4 times since Christmas - nothing longer than 10K, and on my treadmill. Can't believe I go back to work in 1 day

Have a good night everyone - wonder who's gonna start the 2006 thread................
