Dunedin/Clearwater/Pinellas County

We'll be vacationing in Dunedin, Fl for about 3 weeks beginning Memorial Day Weekend. We typically go there every year. We're a family of 3: Mommy, Daddy, 4yr old girl. We're always looking for fun things to do and new places to eat in the area. We've heard Siesta Key Beach is nice so we're going to make a trip there this time. We're also thinking about renting a boat ~ any recommendations? We do a lot of running on the Pinellas trail since it is so convenient, well-maintained, long. Any other recommendations? Any one here eaten at Moes in Clearwater? I was searching around the internet for Mexican food and came across it. Also, are there any Rio Bravos left in the area? Oh, and any favorite Greek restaurants? I know there are a lot of them in Tarpon Springs, but are some better than others? Love those Greek salads! Bring it on!

The trail is the best if you are in Dunedin...I don't live there now but did for many years. If you are in the mood for casual seafood you have to try Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe on Clearwater Beach...get the Grouper Sandwich.

I think all the Rio Bravos are gone.

As for boats, near the Publix shopping center on the Trail (Alt 10 and Curlew I think) there are a few marina's that I'm sure could help you out...try Home Port there.

Molly goodheads is great, the food is good (not as good as frenchy's) but the atmosphere is great. By the way, it is also very close to the Marina I mentioned.

For Frenchy's go to the Salt water Cafe...it is the best mix of good food and good atmosphere.

I can't really help you out with a Greek Restaurnat.

graingirl: I don't know if you got my reply on the Florida forum, but I highly recommend running around the pier area/Old Northeast neighborhood in St. Pete. Downtown St. Pete has some great shops and restaurants. There is also a Children's Museum that I've not seen, but hear is great. Enjoy your trip.
