It is time to go with hired Moderators

The time has come that cool running must now protect its interest and stake in these forums. As such the volunteer moderator should become a thing of the past. User names should be better secured and overall better management of the forums is in needed. Staff moderators will better protect the interests and long term financial prospects of the coolrunning site.

I'm not sure whether I agree with your opinion or not, but I'm curious what it is that has brought you to this conclusion?

Not sure I agree either. But, at least I might get a response to a post for information...

And your personal dislike of the moderators has nothing to do with this.

Well, I like you, Sully. And I don't care specifically about paid moderators.

However, at least two different people have displayed the ability to act as the mysterious "supermod" in the clubhouse over the past few months. And neither of these people is listed as a moderator, much less a SUPERmoderator, anywhere on this site.

Both of these people seem to be nice folks and nothing has been proven regarding any "misuse" of supermod powers. Heck, we don't even know what the powers ARE to know that they've been misused.

But if two somewhat random people have supermod (ok, one used to be a moderator but claimed to have stepped away from that awhile back... the other seemed pretty random), then some of us wonder how many other people have the same rights? Who all out there has access to the email IDs we used when we signed up? And our passwords?

It's just a message board, but this seems sketchy.

I still haven't seen any of the conspiracy theories proven.
