That is right .... the HM doesn't not run on the Avenue of the Giants which is the old US 101. Bull Creek Road is a little narrower than the Avenue but it does run through the virgin redwood groves and is in the State Park.

SLOJim - are reservations at the campground for specific spaces? If so, are you in a particular spot? You no doubt will want to reserve 5-10 spots on either side of you to assure that some yahoo like myself doesn't end up too near

We have stayed in Fortuna, Eureka, and Garberville the times we've gone. Garberville was the most fun to me. It reminded me of the town in the TV series "Northern Exposure"
