I ran a short 3 mile recover paced run (10:05 min/mile) this morning just to get out in the perfect weather. The left hamstring is talking to me ever so slightly but nothing to be concerned with.

Excellent blood pressure Roy. Nice run yesterday Euphoric. And another supersonic TM run for RunWun.

Holly countdown 6 days!

Good morning Boomers!

Good runs already. Nice to have help with the countdown..

No run for me today, last day of x-training, and strictly upper body and abs:

150 crunches and oblique v-ups
45 of each: military presses, upright rows, bench dips, triceps extensions, dumbbell curls, push-ups

Happy Monday!

Good Morning!

Breg.. keep listening to that Hammy..
Rest day for me. I'm battling PF on my right foot for the past 2 weeks. Made some progress this weekend by running 20 miles yesterday! Walked with Tory for 4 miles in about 1 hr. The 15:00 pace was due to jogging backwards for 100m periodically for a total of 1.3 miles backwards. This REALLY strengthens the quads for down hill running without the damage down hills do on the quads.

Have great runs

Morning Boomers, I am the late shift at work today so did 40 minutes run in a lovely 31 degrees (feels like 23 according to weather.com). Lots of ice everywhere, in fact I attempted to use the boardwalk but it was treacherous so I stuck to the street.

Have a good week everyone
Barb

Carpy run today. 7 miles in 67:00. Was scheduled to hit the machines (legs) this morning afterwards, but skipped them. Mileage is jumping from 31.5 last week to 35 this week, so it's probably not a bad idea to drop the strength training back considerably all week long.

Mile one was about 10:30, and mile 2 was 9:30. Everything after that was around 9:20 or so. One of those weird runs where I felt like I was running 8:20's and couldn't believe it every time I checked the clock after another mile in which I thought I was picking up the pace. Oh, well...I'll call it a recovery jog after Saturday's shovel and shuffle cross-training.

Good runs to everyone else.

Morning Boomers!

Good runs already this morning!

No running for me today. Core work, upper body abs and a little time on the bike early this morning. I did 6 glorious miles outside on Saturday. It was cold, but bright and sunny, and it felt so good to be outside. Eleven miles on the track yesterday.

My Dr. called on the Friday evening before I left on my trip. Scared me a bit since she was calling so late in the evening - I figured it must be bad news if the Dr. was calling me in person, but it turned out to be good news. The biopsy sample wasn't great, but it appears to be benign. Yeah!

cfli - yes, I too am sick of winter. Hard to believe spring is nearly here because it sure doesn't feel like it. The forecasters have promised us a warm up this week - they better be right!

Good runs to all!

Nippy 23F with a stiff breeze this morning. Easy 5 with no watch. Well, actually I did have a watch but somehow I forgot to turn it on. Hey, it's Monday morning; cut me some slack.

Good runs and resting.
