Re: Mon Boomer Runs 3/19
I'd like to rent out runwun's legs sometime. MrF and I ran together tonight. He wanted to go for about 30 minutes and I wanted to go for about 4 miles. So we did 4.0 miles in 34:11 at 8:32 avg. pace. My legs that were so dead on Saturday were alive again after a rest day. Felt good. We made reservations to go to Finland! It so happens that one of MrF's business trips coincides with my school spring break, so we will be going April 6-14 to Helsinki and Oulu. I was concerned about missing out on my marathon training but I learned Helsinki has a nice central park and I should be able to do some running there when MrF is in meetings. I'm so excited to be able to visit my relatives' native land and homeland of Paavo Nurmi!

Re: Mon Boomer Runs 3/19
Rest day for me, so I "rested" by shoveling some more snow out of my mom's driveway and working my backside off at PT.

While shoveling, I learned that my shoulder still isn't right after rotator cuff injury just over a year ago and I need to start getting it in shape for kayaking season. While at PT, I learned that, since doctor says I can cut PT back to once a week, I need to get myself to a gym a few times a week to maintain what I've been doing there.

Bottom line - now that it's (theoretically) going to start being more pleasant to run outside, I'm finally acknowledging that I need to add more cross-training into the mix. At least my gym has lots of windows and I can look outside while I'm doing strength training. <sigh>

3.1 at 1/2% on the tm with the hammer down in 23:00 with the last mile in 6:45. I think I was so mad because it's snowing again and tomorrow is the first day of spring and felt rather sproinky I let her rip.

Tom White, your too much!

Holly, if your DH is like me(or if I had a vote) I would be leaning toward a certain yellow thong!

What time does your race start this weekend so us boomers can realign the universe? (and sending greta vibes your way)

I don't know how many others on this board know that you are a phony, but I knew it after about three weeks of your ****. Why don't you disappear? I'm calling you out, and before I get a lot of response from the others on this site, let me say that this is not the first time you have pulled this nonsense elsewhere. Just go, okay? Spareribs

4.8 miles, 45 minutes, still shaking out the bugs after my layoff.

Egret, I also went to see my ART-guy, and yes, he hurt me, too. Yeouch. He says we're getting somewhere, though.

Coach has me booked for weights in the gym tomorrow. Instead, I'll be doing deadlifts with 2 cu. ft. boxes of books, furniture curls, stair repeats, and floor-scrubbing on my hands and knees.

We don't need no steenking gym.

SR and Econo -- how did you know?
ETA: I'm sure I'm not the only one who was buffaloed. What is the tipoff? Other than most of us do not bandit races.... cj

Just look up runwun's times and you'll see. They do not exist.
(RW, I think you need to pony up the 20 bucks just once to quiet the naysayers.)

Hey are you Howard Larson?
or Rogelio Garcia?

It means to run in a race w/o paying for it; basically stealing from those who pay to race
