Wednesday 3/21 Boomer Runs

Work is crazy with a big Project Implementation taking place this weekend. With myriad work thoughts floating through my head, I woke up early and it was obvious that further sleep wasn't happenin'.

So up and out at 3:45 AM for 10 easy miles at 9:30 min/mile pace. Avg. HR 138.

Now off to the Salt Mines for more Implementation work. Everyone have a good day!

HOLLY COUNTDOWN 4 DAYS!
Bill

I just realized that yesterday's posting collided with WRFB's (I got the dreaded "did you double-click" message, but didn't notice it 'til this morning). Hmmph.

So, at the risk of triggering a fine for posting yesterday's workout on today's thread:

Tuesday:
It's a balmy 51F this morning.

1 mile easy, 7 miles tempo for a total of 8. 9:17 average pace on the tempo miles. These hills better be making me stronger, because they're just about killing me.

Today:
8 miles easy in 1:20:30, 10:02 avr pace

Good morning, all.

Unlike beerger, I didn't wake up early -- in fact, I slept through my alarm. Yikes! So I had an abbreviated morning routine, and got out only 15 minutes late.

8.1 miles with 5x600m VO2 max workout embedded. It was supposed to be 5K pace (McMillan puts me at 6:48/mi) but my sessions were 2:24, 2:22, 2:27, 2:23, 2:24 -- avg pace of about 6:30/mi.

Total run 1:02 (7:41/mi)

Have a great run today.

The schedule called for a rest day, but I felt like I needed something to wake-up, so I did 2 miles on the TM sandwiched in-between some push-ups, sit-ups, and stretching.

I feel awake now.

I couldn't face gearing up to face a "feels-like" temp of 10F, so I headed to the gym instead. 7.20 miles on the treadmill in 1:04:00. Just some bread and butter miles, feeling pretty good after yesterday's pounding on the Newton Hills.

Morning Boomers
Bill, 10 miles in the middle of the night
Mr & Mrs early speed work, PDR it must be true, no pain no gain ( you hope)
Dave same as me 2 miler.
I did a nice little 2 miler, no niggles in the calf today
Anyway 2m 23:36 @ 11:48 pace AHR 131 MAF pace
BP before run 117/71 after run 112/70 Lou you were right, it running brings it down a bit.
The thing I notice if I take it on first sitting down the top figure is up a bit 120-130 but if I take it again after a minute the top figure has dropped. So I think to take it correctly you have to sit for 5 mins and then take it? nurse Rose?
Roy
RT you are fast on the keys as well, nice 7.2

Good morning all! I was still sore from doing some hills yesterday and had a tough time doing 3 miles in less minutes than degrees. I failed. It took me 28 in 25.

Hi all. I ran 6 miles at a struggling pace. I have a feeling I'm not eating as much as I need. I felt out of gas alot on this run. It will be a lovely day today and I think I'll try another 4 after school. Have fun all.

Still that's pretty good, Roy. Mine tends to run about 138/85 or higher, which isn't so good. I usually take it twice and average, because I'm a metrics junkie. I'm taking Lisinopril to help keep it down. You'd think all this exercise and good eating would help, but sometimes it's just genetics, I guess.

Good Morning, Boomers!

5.8 miles at a pleasant GA pace in 41(feels like 34) degrees. A bit nippy for me to have my legs hanging out, but I wore my new Nike running skirt because I just had to try it out.

Breger ? Are you being truthful? I don?t think you REALLY work at the Salt Mines.

Roy, those blood pressure numbers seem good. I always heard that 110/70 was the ideal. I had my blood pressure taken at the doctor yesterday and it was 100/58. Seems sort of low to me, but they didn?t seem concerned.

WRFB ? bummer that with all your work you still have trouble with it. Genetics is a bear, but just think what it would be if you were not exercising and eating well.

Happy Spring!

Just over 8 miles in an hour. Tried to keep it easy left AT and rectus femoris a little tight. Need extra attention, stretching and foam roller

Take care guys
