Sad to say that I will not be running the Yakima River Canyon this weekend, asthma is still not in total control. But, EUGENE here I come!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for caring Soundrunner. I am a bit disappointed also, but when one is dealing with a chronic disease such as asthma, it is not your training that dictates if you can run a race or not, but the condition is. I am specially sad since one of my Boomer hero has volunteered to run with me however long it takes to finish the race, but my asthma plagued lungs are just not ready for a taxing event such as marathon running, so soon after a bad flair -up such the one I had in the last three weeks.

I am trying to be brave here, but it is hard. I now have my eyes set for the Prefontaine one next month. So... Eugene, here I come!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, I missed the info on the Jimmy Stewart Relay, so put me down for La Jolla 1/2 marathon. Maybe dromadary will do it this year a well, and if we both do the San Diego Finest City 1/2 in August, we can collect that medal for completing the triple ( Carlsbad, La Jolla and San Diego).
