need advice on fuel belt

I am considering to buy a fuel belt to make my life a little easier as far as carrying my own fuel for the long runs. What has been your experience with the fuel belts? or any fuel pack for that matter.
I am considering to purchase one of this:

Before I buy one I wanted to hear the good and bad about carrying one in the 15-20 milers.

Re: need advice on fuel belt
I love my fuel belt, but I have the four bottle with the "pocket" in the back (perfect for my cell phone). The only complaint I have is that the bottle lids don't always go on really tight. If the lids aren't sealed right you will have your fuel spilling on to your shirt. Easy problem to check though. Other than that, I love it!

I carry my drinks for long runs in a FuelBelt competitor, the Amphipod.

I really really like it. The bottles snap in and out of the belt, they're easy to move along the belt's length, and the tops screw on and off in a civilised fashion.

Highly recommended.

Re: need advice on fuel belt
mari,
I use mine for long runs and it's very comfortable(from a guy who hates extrainious stuff).
Make sure you get one that fits as they do come in different sizes.
Made that mistake and had to return it for a larger one.

You'll love it.

Re: need advice on fuel belt
I would be annoyed by the bottles on either side of my waist - I would probably clip the bottles with my arms or elbows, but that is just my opinion. The belt I use has a single bottle holster that rides in the center of my back. I don't even notice it on long runs. It only has a 20 ounce bottle which isn't enough for the longer runs in hot weather, but I have 2 or 3 water pumps along my runnin trail so I can refill periodically.

Re: need advice on fuel belt
Just my input... I have run my long runs with a one bottle system that has two adjacent pockets, one of which I place a gel flask in which suits me fine. I have opted for pure honey on my long runs followed by a mix of gatorade and water. More water than ade(about 60-40/70-30). I have gotten some chafing long ago but it is usually remedied by tucking in a shirt beneath the belt...Hope this helps! Good luck.

Re: need advice on fuel belt
Mariposa, another option and what I use. It only holds 20 oz.,though, so on long runs and hot days, you need a place to refill.

I have a waist type bottle holder and a Camelbak, but this has been my preferred mehtod of hydration the past few years. I think I drink more often, too, because it's right there, no reaching around. I just can't tolerate anything around my waist anymore after discovering this. Sometimes I'm asked if it gets tiring to hold, but it's never bothered me, and I have wimpy arms, too. I've seen trail runners carrying one in each hand, for balance, I guess.

I have run up to 50 miles with a camelback several times. they work great. Those tiny bottles in the fuel packs don't hold much liquid but I go through 6-7 leters in a 50 miler.
how many of those tiny bottles is that?
