Thursday, April 58.11 miles. Time: 59:17 (7:18/mile).
Intervals.
Avg. HR: 140 Max HR: 199
NOTES: Not sure if it was the wind, the soggy (less than flat) trails or the fact that my ribs are still sore, but this run really stunk!!!

3 mile warm-up (7:51 @ 153?, 7:37 @ 130, 7:47 @ 128)

1 mile in 5:43 @ 153, 1/2 mile recovery in 4:00 @ 134,
1/2 mile in 2:46 @ 164

Friday, April 6

Avg. HR: 146 Max HR: 240
NOTES: Nice easy run iwth the dog. HRM acting screwey!

Saturday, April 7
1.75 miles. Time: 15:25 (8:48/mile).
Avg. HR: 122 Max HR: 131
NOTES: 5:00 am shake-out with the dog. It's pretty wind and cold -- race is not going to be fun!

NOTES: Yep -- it's windy and cold -- this race is gonna suck!

5 km. Time: 18:03 (5:48/mile).
NOTES: Running without the garmin -- Settled into 3rd for most of the first mile with Brian just ahead. Passed him just before the mile (5:33) and moved into second. No chance of catching Kelly. Just keep turning em over. Mile 2 in 5:56. Wind really blows (sucks?). Hit mile 3 in 5:54 and think I have second locked up. 39 seconds to the finish. Fairly happy with the result given the conditions.
