ESPN2 will broadcast the Boston Marathon live from 11:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, April 21 to the United States. Adrian Karsten and Larry Rawson will host from the finish line; Lewis Johnson (men's race), Carol Lewis (women's race), and Whit Watson (finish line) will provide updates throughout the telecast.

Boston, the world's oldest and most prestigious annual marathon, will be broadcast in 181 countries or territories throughout the world.

Additionally, American Forces Radio and Television will bring the race to U.S. soldiers stationed in 179 countries and territories worldwide, including Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Assembled by Clear Channel Entertainment, the official representative of the Boston Athletic Association for the Boston Marathon, major international television partners for this year include:

WBZ 1030 am will deliver wire-to-wire radio coverage. The Boston news radio station will place veteran reporters in front of the major races, including the wheelchair division, assuring that listeners from its strong Boston signal will be sure to enjoy another exciting Patriots' Day road race.

Also, the B.A.A. will offer a text-based web cast by Barbara Huebner (women's race) and James O'Brien (men's race) with updates every five minutes from 11:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday. Computer-users who log-on to the Official Boston Marathon web site -- www.baa.org[/URL" target="_blank"> or www.bostonmarathon.org[/URL" target="_blank"> -- can follow the action with a leaderboard for each of the four major divisions (men's and women's open races; men's and women's wheelchair division races), the team competition and athlete tracking of every participant in the 20,000-entrant field.<HR>
