Re: 40/40 Tally plus week ending April 22
I still have long hours and this will be my 10th week of it. It looks like another 80 week, since I still do not have much help in the kitchen. I have Lincoln coming up in three weeks.

My toe is okay now. I started wearing shoes again four days ago. At least I can run comfortablly now, if I even have the chance withour being rundown from my job. This is the least I have run in 21 years of running marathons/ultras.

Fortunate - I think you missed me on the list of 40/40 members for this past week. I managed to run 41.7 total miles with most of it pushed by the kids on the track (see week ending 4\15 thread for breakdown).

Thanks,

Mike "GG" B

Re: 40/40 Tally plus week ending April 22
thanks Fortunate One for taking this one!
(and nice little medLR yesterday-when 12 miles sails along during the taper, it is a really good feeling) Enjoy the taper, as the madness will likely follow...ha.

Su-10 in the windy/rainy/sloppy conditions that are heading for Bawston...cold/damp and shiverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring...
M-5 easy-still in the rain
T-7 slow/easy-yep, still in the drizzle...
W-8 easy with 10 strides
Th-9 with 7 continuous and 2 slow/recovery-included 2x2miles at MP HR 143-148 (6:53-7:18) slowly getting there
Fri-5 slow/recovery (~9mpm)
Sa-8 easy with sorta' fast finish (last 2 miles ~7:30)
Total=52 miles

And it was bitterly cold, windy and rainy just about a week ago.
I love springtime!

Re: 40/40 Tally plus week ending April 22
Never posted here before, so not exactly sure what the rules are. But managed back to back weeks of 49 miles (end Sun). Never ran a 50 mile week before ...and not sure why I didn't run 1 extra mile to do so.

Re: 40/40 Tally plus week ending April 22
Thanks Fortunate One, appreciate the response and all of your efforts in running the thread. Here is my plan for the upcomming week (Monday to Sunday):

Mon - 6 miles on the track working on drafting and proper passing techniques with kids. They like the old man up front breaking - no comments please - the wind.
Tue - 5.2 miles EZPZ
Wed - 6.4 at track practice
Thur - rest day = 0
Fri - 5.9 at track practice
Sat - rest day as legs are hurting from 3 hard track sessions and I have a race on Sunday.
Sun - Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-mile run plus 3 miles in W/U and C/D. Then a lot of running around the track at a 4 and one half hour track meet.

Totals, may I have a pass please, are 31.5 miles.
