Boston-related updates and stuff

Maybe we should have a separate thread for just updated Boston news and updates, comments etc. That way they won't get lost in the daily and when the Boston runners come home they can find it easily.

One bit of news, my brother in law Joe, who is in Boston from California, had dinner with Tallrunner last night, which made me happy. Joe hasn't missed a day of running in 30 years. He will run today, but not in the marathon as he has decided to pass. He is 64 and has run it many times. Spareribs

Do we have a list of names and/or bib numbers? The WBZ site that perchcreek's message points to has a "find a friend" feature with live cameras at a few points along the course.

Apparently its perfect weather for Deena. The conditions don't look that bad. Of course you can't see the wind.

Personally I'm a bit of a Jelena fan. She is becoming a hero in New York.

5 minutes in to the race and the conditions have deteriorated.

Just looked outside, it's definitely let up some and the large pine tree across the way isn't moving around like it was.
GO BOOMERS!!

Sitting around at the start must have been horrible.

The conditions on the course don't look that bad. The rain is light and the wind is not as strong as forecast. Once your feet are wet they are wet.

I'm sure there will be some great stories afterwards.
