Race That's Good For Life 5K Report

OK, it was a great day for a race. Very sunny, no wind really to speak of and about 40+ degrees at the start of the race.
The women's race went off first and saw some really fast times!! The winner was 17:08

mrsbill has been nursing a bad knee and been hitting Physical Therapy, but ran well today...32:15, but her chip didn't work, as some of the women's chips malfunctioned!

All the women received a rose at the finish line

...and there was lots of encouragement out there..

My goal was 21:30 this morning and things started off really well and were pretty steady throughout the race.... I ran a chip time of 21:02....

I'll take that anyday.

carry on....

I'll bet you surprised a lot of under-30s. WTG, and pass on our kudos to MrsBill.

Very nice job Mrbill and great fotos. Too bad this post went up at around the same time as Boston. I worry it will get buried, and you ran so well too. That's a real good pace for a fiveK. Congrats to mrsbill as well. Spareribs
