Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
I've been wondering where your report was young man! Thanks for finally getting it posted and congrats for a great day! I'm glad the weather didn't turn out to be a big problem afterall! I enjoyed all the details in your report and am glad your family got to see you finish this year as they are a big part of this "journey" too.

Congratulations wa5yom (what does that mean anyways?)

Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
Tim, thanks for the rrrrrrrrrrr. There's no such thing as a late rr for the Boston Marathon.

You ran so well in rain/wind/cold/sleet/wind, I think divechief and I might have a good idea for your next PR venue.

Tim,
I enjoyed your RR, too, and i really like your positive attitude about the whole race. You made a huge improvement from last year and though didn't reach your original goal, that doesn't take away from what you did achieve.
Congratulations!

Tim, I loved the RR. It was well worth the wait. Thanks for pointing out our goals should pesh us, and if don't always meet them, we've made good headway.

Way to go wa5yom. You had a big improvement over last year and almost got your PR in spite of the less than desireable conditions. It sounds like you really enjoyed the whole weekend. Congratulations.

Great race--great report--worth waiting for. Have you been typing for the whole time? And if you got distracted at Wellesley, how bad would it be to have a mouse in your pocket the whole way. And somehow, I don't imagine Ilene sitting still .

Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
I had to stop halfway through this to read "Paradise Lost" so that is why it took so long for me to reply. (Just kidding!)

I believe you are a sub-3:30 marathoner at least, and that the conditions contributed greatly to your actual time. Compare everyone else's time to expected time, even the elites and you will see. A headwind is debilitating in a long race, believe me.

Great job of preparation and execution Tim, as only you can do it, meticulously. This one was superb and consider the fine improvement. I look forward to your next successful effort. Spareribs

Wow Tim! You have a fantastic memory for the race. What a very well written report. I felt like I was right there alongside you.

It was a pleasure meeting you on Tuesday - hope the PBJsters didn't bother you too much. And thanks for posting all those Boston tips - they really were quite helpful. Take care.

Great race Tim, nice improvement. Don't know how you can remember all the details, are you sure you're a boomer?

Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
Tim, what an excellent report! I really enjoyed reading all the details of your trip to Boston, meeting fellow Boomers and, of course, the race itself. Congratulations on having a really great race at Boston. The comparison between 2006 and 2007 says it all. I agree that you definitely have a 3:30 marathon in you. Boston is a tough course and though the conditions weren't as terrible as advertised, they were far from ideal. I love your upbeat attitude about the entire experience. Congrats again on a great experience!

Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
hey way-five-yum, it was great to meet you and your family. since cherioyot was 7 min slower than last year, i'm taking 7 minutes off my time, and i suggest you do the same.

recover slowly, then keep up the great work. find a flat fall course (or come to sacramento in december) and take another 13 minutes off this time.

Re: MY Boston RR - finally......
Oooh, I like mc's idea. 7 minutes off it is!!!

Tim, it was nice meeting you and your family at the Freedom Run, at Henry and Marj's, er, hmm ... at the portapots at the village, and almost every time we hopped on the "T." Funny, with all the people there, we were always on the same train schedule!

(BTW, I tried to find you and divechief under the "big top," but I failed and ended up on my trash bag barge floating on my own personal rivulet.)

Yes, you definitely have a 3:30 coming and we'll all be cheering you on as you go for it! Thanks for such an upbeat RR.

ETA (because I forgot): Mrs. Ribs!!!
