Re: Running Fit Trail Half-Marathon RR
Sounds (and looks) like quite a challenging race Dave. Is this a precursor to some trail marathon or ultra you are considering perhaps?? Like Sgt. Horse, I'm curious how you liked the Haywards on the trail. Glad all body parts behaved and you enjoyed this one.

Re: Running Fit Trail Half-Marathon RR
Great job Dave, you right this the most difficult race I have ever done, I am impressed that you didn't have to walk on the whole coarse very few of us can say that. I am with Tom I'll send a string in the next couple days. I have already got my nap, and I am getting ready to go to work at 11:00 I 'd id impress them with my fast kick at the end coming down that little down hill, with a sub 5 min pace.

Marathon Derrick 5:30 :38 for whole

TRAIL.
It is called a TRAIL.

It is not a ROAD.

So there.

Good running, Dave, especially with the pesky problems you've been putting up with. Glad PF is quieting down, but how does it feel today?

Thanks for sharing. Cool map.

Re: Running Fit Trail Half-Marathon RR
As usual a fine effort Dave on a tough track. I was worried before this race that you would really damage that PF injury but I am thrilled to hear it behaved itself.

Now get thee back on the roads where sane people live.

Bill

Re: Running Fit Trail Half-Marathon RR
Wow! That's a heck of a result for not having run a long trail race before, or specifically trained for one. I'd love to do something like that, but have zero confidence that I could manage it.

Next thing you know, you'll be entering the 50-miler at the "Dances With Dirt" trail ultra! But in any case, it sounds like you'll be ready to smoke the Dexter-AA course 5 weeks from now.

Awesome Dave! That run sounded beautiful and challenging. Great combo. You got your workout and the PF behaved so that was a total success. Congratulations on your first trail run!

Or you could put together a team for the 100K Relay at DWD just with local members of this forum...

Nice race 2XA. No PW in a race like that Dave. Great job and great effort.

Let's get timlooney to handle the first 80k. Then you, me, MarkGuy, tselbs, and dg9 can take it from there.

Hey Dave - I think the AATC is looking for one more runner for one of the DwD teams for this year.

Nice Job Dave! And good to hear your feet were cooperative....
Hey, now you guys must be ready for the Equinox in September... right? This would be a nice "tune up" for that one!

Re: Running Fit Trail Half-Marathon RR
Good run.......and you are right in regards to nothing being flat. That elevation chart looks like a GPS report for a yo-yo.

The map indicates a beautiful setting for such a race and you handled it very well.

Thanks for the RR. Glad you handled it so well,.
