40/40 Tally and Week Ending May 27

This thread is where we post our plans for the week. At the end of the week, posts are updated to indicate what was actually accomplished, and I tally the totals. Thanks for participating, and feel free to speak up if you?d like to take over the tallying duties for a while.

I didn?t provide hot links to the Marathon and Half Marathon race reports, but you can find them on the Intrepid thread[/URL" target="_blank">.

Re: 40/40 Tally and Week Ending May 27
I've got the Vermont City Marathon this Sunday. Monday and Tuesday will be off days due to long shifts at work and the need for sleep so I don't know if I feel like cramming in mileage later in the week just to get 40.

Thurs: 6.2 EZ. Totally carb depleted!
Fri: off.
Sat: 2.8
Sun: 26.2 (3:35:06) + .8 wu.

Re: 40/40 Tally and Week Ending May 27
It wasn't pretty but I made it last week with 45.4. That number was way too low.

This week will be much better.

M - rest
T - 7.12
W - 4 x 1000 meters, plus warm up and cool down
T - 60 to 70 minutes on trails
F - I'll be on the Western States course. 2 x's Michigan Bluff.
S - 31 miles on the course
S - 20 more miles on the course.

I'll be back on Tuesday of next week.
