Bay to Breakers race report
Good Morning everyone
This last sunday was the 96'th annual Bay To Breakers 12 k run in S.F This was my second time running this race the first time was about 15 years ago. With 60,000 runners, walkers, nudists and drunkards expected to show up we got there early to try and get as close to the starting line as possible,

It was a 8:00 am start and we got there at 6:00 am. Those two hours flew by as we got to know our fellow runners and got belted by an endless amount of corn Tortillas that were flying through the air. Finally the starting gun sounded and we were off leaving the beach balls and literally thousands of tortillas behind us.
The course is mostly flat with one hill, This hill starts at the mile and a half point in the race and goes for a 1/2 mile at a 11.15% grade I was nervous about this hill but as it turns out the hardest part about it was manuvering around the mass of people who started walking at the hills beginning. I looked to the left and saw that there was a stream of runners on the sidewalk that were moving at a pretty good pace, so I made my way over there and after a whole lot of excuse me's, sorry's,and coming through's I finally made it and was able to achieve a comfortable pace After the hill, the course was mostly flat all the way to the finish. It was much easier than I remembered and I was able to actually run it faster than I did before.

My official time was 1 hr 2 min 7 seconds which beat my first time by about 4 minutes. All in all we had a really good time, lots of costumes, lots of people on the sidelines cheering us on, lots of nudity

I dont know if I'll do it again next year though. Here are some pictures I took during the run, The three teens are my son, nephew and a friend. They all had a great time and left me in they're dust. The last picture is of yours truly
