Phoenix Rock & Roll Half Marathon

Just signed up for the Phoenix Half Marathon and was wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me about it. Like; closest hotel to the start, typical weather conditions, how they liked the course, how they liked the bands, and especially: how is the "night life" in Phoenix?

Ahhh. I miss phoenix. Just moved to Chicago from there in May (and already plan to move back). The Marathon is relatively flat until about the 18th mile where you run through Papago park. It's a slow gradual incline that seems to last for many miles, but really is about 1.5 miles. Also be prepared for the heat. Last year it was pretty hot even in the winter. If you have any questions feel free to ask me!

Now that I read the rest of your message...
Nightlife: Scottsdale. It all depends on what you are looking for and how old you are. I'm 27, I didn't go out all that much but I did like Devils Martini, Barcelona, Axis/Radius, and Suede. These all have 10-20 dollars in cover depending on the night. They just extended the time the bars close to 2am. A after hours place (where they don't serve ETOH) is Mickeys Hangover...where you can enjoy drunken pizza and over priced bottled water. As far as hotels go...any hotel in the Tempe area will be fine.
