Holy carp, Dale! Must be nice to be able to find your race statistics right at the top of the page. I have to scroll down, down, down to ever find mine. Congrats!

Oooh! I want to post a picture of MarkGuy and rochrunner too! Three Boomers, each one sheet to the wind, for a collective total of three.

Sorry, we missed, Debbie.

Oh, my run. 10 unprintably slow miles. Skipping this race was definitely the right decision.

Those pictures are making me jealous and extremely thirsty for a cold beer like the three boomer gods are enjoying. Please someone tell me how to post pictures in here from either one's computer folder and or digital camera?

Nice pics! Great times there runwun, Dale and Robin!

Had a great time at the CITO geocaching event, met some of the infamous local cachers and cache hiders. Picked up another 3 finds as well as some tips and tricks.

Then to the gym for 1.15 hours training with Keith. I have a bit of a sore back and can't take ibuprofren because of a colonoscopy Tuesday so we were careful not to injure it worse.

Monday, I sure hope the third one is a charm for ya and that none of the drama you mentioned yesterday had to do with the DH.Not our DH.....oh sheeesh

Re: June 3/07 Boomer Runs
Smiling and waving back holly,

No nothing particularly wrong vista, got outta the posting habit during vaction mid May--went to see two of my kids graduate. PF still has me in slow mode too.

So I ran today--what a disaster. Thursday I did 11 miles and not much PF reprecussion. So today I felt recovered for a good run maybe 12-14 slow,, way slower than 9:35 Breger. . At 6.5 I turned around because both heels were complaining. At 8.5 I stopped altogether, stretched, then started a double limped the last 4.5 -not a pretty sight.

I'm outa balance. This more athletic mode is still not natural to me, I'm not well rounded in my physical disciplines, and therein lies my problem I'll wager.

Congrats on beer glass #2 Lab and to the Mrs' win.

JJJ

Re: June 3/07 Boomer Runs
I've been advised to incorporate hill work to my routine. For the next 3 weeks, I have no choice but to oblige. I am in Colorado Springs on business for that duration, and around my hotel there is nothing but hills. I found a track -- to get to it, I have to run for 2 miles pretty much all uphill. HR got up to 201. That is a first. All I could manage was once around the track, and then head back. The good news is that the return is all downhill. The bad part of the good news is that it is steep enough to cause discomfort too. Drove straight through yesterday from Indy to here. Got in around 2:30 their time (4:30 a.m. ours). So the fact that I only had about 2 hours sleep may have contributed to me being a weinee. Have the alarm set for 4 a.m. -- trying it again in the am to see if I do any better after sleep. If not, at least I have 3 weeks to practice. Sorry I haven't had time to post lately -- just wanted to let anyone who might be keeping tabs know where I've been. I'll lurk for awhile. Hope you don't mind. cj

JJJ, it's great to see you. Sorry to hear about the ongoing PF problems. I'm guessing you're not running on even surfaces (meaning flat terrain), which I'm told will exacerbate the problem. Are you doing all the other things: ice, stretching, morning massage, ibu diet? Do you have a pool where you can try the perchcreek method?

Do you walk for 10 minutes or so before you run? I did this for quite a while, and it seemed to help.

I'm sure you're doing all of these things. I just wish I had the answer. I'm still not 100% myself.

As for Labduck, I think he should forfeit that glass and beer for a week for the non-RR. Sure, I'll take the glass. And congrats to Mrs. Labduck.

ETA: Good to see you, johnson. Don't be a weenie: Do those hills. And tell us about it.

cj, nobody who runs 2 miles uphill to get to a track is a weenie.

If you go to our Boomer Wiki tread, it explains how to post pictures. You can't do it directly from your computer folder or your digital camera. Instead you have to transfer to an "off" site on the web that then allows you to transfer on to here.

Anyway, check this out and if you have problems, let us know.

No running day for me, but it was a yard working day to get ready for DS#1 graduation.

This is a test. The sombrero is from my country
