I agree wholeheartedly!!

ETA: Mustang Sally has a very nice Boomer wiki somewhere around here. It may answer a lot of questions without scaring you away I'm not quite sure where its thread is. I know I saved it someplace safe, but can't remember where.

Re: Hello there B and B family...Newbie here.
Litefoot! Another Utah resident!

I ran the Valley of Fire half marathon last year. The elevation profile shows a steady uphill all the way out, but it's actually rolling uphill, and not as bad as I had expected. (That hill in the last mile will take a chunk out of you though.) The scenery is outstanding.

Good luck in your training.

Welcome Litefoot!

It's great to have you here. I look forward to hearing how your training is going this summer as well learning more about you as well.

Hey Litefoot! Welcome to the B&B's. They know so much and are so supportive. I'm older than you but not a grammaw yet. Congrat's on the running, the improved eating, and the racing plans!

Re: Hello there B and B family...Newbie here.
Welcome Litefoot!!

My first marathon was the Cape Cod Marathon here in MA and I was warned that it was quite a challenging course. I was nervous too and decided to run the course as a long run three weeks before the actual marathon....BAD MISTAKE! Don't do this!!! I did finish and have run two others since but recommend you relax and set a realistic goal to just finish in good shape!! Good luck and welcome! Let us hear how you do, etc.!

Re: Hello there B and B family...Newbie here.
Litefoot, sorry:

I've been away over the weekend and have only just finished sorting out the resultant emergency services paperwork.

There's a general reference to all this madness at the wiki linked in my signature.

Welcome aboard!
