40/40 Tally and Week Ending July 1

Here?s to our own Tim Looney, who ran 100 miles last weekend at Western States and earned a coveted belt buckle for doing so in under 30 hours. He broke his finger (I saw on another BB) in a fall a couple miles from the finish line, so his RR may be delayed. His drive and determination (not to mention those orange shorts) are an inspiration to us all.

40+ week:
jjchaney 112.5 Including a 38-mile training run.
timlooney >100 miles. ?nuf said?
runwun 77.2 Including hill work and a fast 26.2 M.
joplus 76.4 Including earning race (not just AG) hardware in a 5K (is there a RR?).
Hermosaboy 58.7 Ran a rosy 5K race[/URL" target="_blank"> despite having beat-up legs.
TomD 56.8 Enjoying the improved work situation that allows time for long training runs.
rbbmoose 51.1 On ?the beautiful Maui shoreline.?
mcsolar99 51 if all went as planned.
breger1 49.75 Nice job.
Canfit 47.6 Including a PR in a 5-mile
race[/URL" target="_blank">.
naphtali47.2 Legs not cooperating very well.
jtv 46 Including a 16 M long run.
hollys4874 42.6 Building in some speed work.
Ileneforward 40.3 if all went as planned.
Peter NC 40 Just squeaked in.
DavinAA 40 Plus biking and lots of swimming.

Free passes:
lyndenrunner 30.5 if all went as planned.
Nordic Berserker Awaiting 40/40 report, but at least he got the
Midnight Sun RR[/URL" target="_blank"> done.

We?ll miss you. Hurry back:
Caddisfli Nursing a bad cold.
dshclio 24 Dropping out of the thread for a while until the next mileage buildup.
Patriotsr1 Aggravated hip flexor.

MC gets the prize for identifying the most legs last week. He identified all but two, which belonged to choover (top center) and Holly (middle left). Next month, breger1 will be your compiler (thanks, Bill). Don?t make him work too hard getting a compiler for August. Maybe by that time I?ll be back over 40 myself. It?s been fun.

Re: 40/40 Tally and Week Ending July 1
I seem to have ramped the mileage back up quite nicely after taking a few weeks off to let the toe heal up. No problems last week - and I assume not this week either!

Mon: Planned Rest Day
Tues: 10.7 miles easy with miles 8 and 9 at slightly faster than MP (8:22 and 8:20)
Wed: 5.5 miles at 9:15 min/mile pace
Thurs: 11.45 miles with miles 8, 9, 11 at tempo (8:00, 7:50, 8:09). Torrential downpour last 2 miles.
Fri: Rest Day
Sat: 5.1 miles in 45 minutes on treadmill
Sun: 15.15 miles in the humid slop. Slow and steamy.

Total: 47.9 miles

Re: 40/40 Tally and Week Ending July 1
Fortunate One,

Been busy at work so I haven't had time to post much lately. Last week was 46 miles with a 16 mile LR. This week will either be around 40 (if I do a 5K Sunday) or in the upper 40's if I do a long run.

Thanks.
