June Boomer Miles? (and mid-year check-in)
?My theory is to strive for consistency, not to worry about the numbers. If you dwell on statistics you get shortsighted, if you aim for consistency, the numbers will be there at the end.?
?Tom Seaver, baseball pitcher.
So? How?d it go this month? Let?s see. Have fun.
Be sure to post:
1. your total mileage for the month (indicate if this was a PR)
2. any race PR?s (include distance and time)
3.
Since we?re halfway through the year, this month would be a good time to add a note about year-to-date mileage. Revised May numbers (incorporating late posters)
Total = 13,511.0
Average = 119.6
Median = 120.6

Background for newcomers: At the end of each month, Boomers are required by the Bureau of Statistics of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina[/URL" target="_blank"> to note how many miles (or kilometers) they have run that month. Don?t ask why; globalization?we?re all connected?yada, yada, yada. You must be 40+ years old and run or walk at least 1 mile to be eligible. Sorry, only running and walking numbers are counted. Figuring out a way to incorporate cross-training numbers would cause my head to explode. The deadline is midnight EST on the 2nd of the new month. The numbers are tallied and posted (usually on the 3rd) in a simple analysis that includes various awards, serious and silly. No matter how few or how many miles you have, please post! Every mile is an accomplishment. Final, revised numbers that incorporate late-comers will be reported with next month?s announcement. However, late posters are not eligible for awards and, remember, all numbers are for entertainment purposes only.
