Does anyone have any tips on how to combat having your hands and feet getting so cold that they become numb and it takes till about half the bike to get the feeling back? Example is swimming in the bay for the Escape from Alcatraz tri. Footies do not help, but if someone knows of a specific type that does help please let me know any tips to help with this dilemma.
Thanks
I've found that vaseline on the exposed skin helps. Granted, it will eventually ruin your wettie, but you should be ready for a new one by the time that happens since it'll ony be around the cuffs. Other than that, you could try thicker hoods, gloves, and booties. I believe they go to 6 mm.
