What a precious picture, dg9...

I spent some time in the gym today doing upper body work.

Oh, I just found out something kinda interesting. The woman who won for OA females in my biathlon yesterday was the woman who won this year's Western States 100 -- Nikki Kimball. I knew her name was Nikki and that she did ultras but didn't make the connection. No wonder she was so fast on the trail!

Re: monday july 16 sunny boomer runs
Looks like Sgt Horse is trying to start mass swoonhysteria.

They say when life hands you lemons you should make lemonade. So when my rear brake cable snapped on the way into work today, I realized that if it were my car, I'd be dead in the water, but because I ride in on a bicycle, I have front brakes and could still "limp" into work. I wound up changing my route around a bit in order to avoid any hills, and kept the speed to a very manageable (stoppable) one. So it took a little longer than usual, and my knuckles were a little whiter than usual when I arrived at the building; but I saved gas, saved money, and saved the earth yet again today.

Someone said that they heard on the scanner that someone was shot... I have yet to hear the story. Not feeling safe to finish my route, I turned around to embraced another route with its set of 4 hills. Total miles ran: 6.25. Total elevation gain: 541.

This link would take you to an update on my morning´s experience with the shot I heard at the distance while running.

A quick little jaunt around the river - an unknown distance for an equally mysterious amount of time.

Sound like we will soon get to hear about some adventures in Alaska.

Debbie,

It's good to put a face to a name, but somehow I had pictured you as a younger woman.

Wow, what did I miss!

Went out at 5pm as my PF thing was way to tight this am plus I overslept. Ran 5.25 miles in 46:55 in 76 degree partly cloudy skies. Jumped in the pool afterwards and then showered. Have a great evening Boomers!
