Re: The Bellingham Bay Marathon B&B Party
I just noticed that Mike is running the royal Vic on that Sunday, Maybe he can bring Sans back with him for Monday's dinner?

Sadly, Arf will not fly through Seattle on her way back home, so even if we got her flight delayed, it still wouldn't get her to the pink door on this trip.

thanks tamagenerosity.

It was actually a trick to get another goddess in the belly thread as it's the t-shirt from the Eugene Marathon I wanted to give you for your running the first five Eugene miles with me and picking me up from mile 18 - the mile 19 goddess/labduck aid station but I somehow got distracted at the finish and forgot to get it so, when I got a recent event e-mail about next year's edition, I found out they still had some left and am happy to give it to you with appreciation for your generosity.

thanks again.

Ok... I spent a while last night convincing DH we needed to do it... and we're coming back from his appointment in Lynwood just for this event... Good 'nuff? Working on flight schedules, etc, but it looks like we'll just fly into Seattle, drive up to Belly, then leave Monday late a.m. to take a scenic route to Lynwood where he has a bizniz appt... then off to Seattle to stop at the Tasting Room, the market and PD...

dear multilingual, multicultural, multitalented, multigorgeous pinkdooralinaposai,

You can run but you can't hide from me, . . . I mean from the Pink Door as the owner's "homespun Italian menu[/URL" target="_blank">" was inspired by "many family Sunday gatherings and days in her grandfather's garden" and, of course, includes gnochi ala romano[/URL" target="_blank"> for your dining pleasure.

anything else dear goddess of the epicure?

evan - quick tell me what gnochi means before the boss gets back.
somehow, I never paid much attention to the menu.

Other things on your mind, eh? Gnochi, also as I've seen it most often as gnocchi, are basically potato dumplings. I've always thought of them more as a pasta (flour-based) item with cheese, but there are tons of varieties... all very yummy. Check this[/URL" target="_blank"> out. I did peruse the menu and wine list... had to to convince DH it was a worthwhile stop, and it looked very nice...

1. wool socks keep warm even if wet.

2. rubber garden gloves with fabric liners and shredded aluminum space age liner.

3. garbage/leaf or dry-cleaner bags with pre-cut head/arm slits or el cheapo rain poncho at start that can be thrown away (baggy t-shirt/old sweatshirt too if really bad)

4. Stash dry gloves/socks/pre-cut plastics/dry tee and old sweat shirts along course (bonus is hot soup in thermos)

In addition to a big smile for photogs no matter what, possible general last-minute before/during/after check-list for busy boomers

My "buff" needs hugs?? Hmmm, not so sure about that. Pleasantly sore today, but will work out every other day till Belly (and beyond) so core and form are beyond reproach...
Feeling good and more than ready for Belly...
We get in Friday night and will overnight in Seattle, drive up to Bellingham to be there mid-afternoon?? Who should we check with when we get there?

Mariposai - I saw how fresh you were on the slopes of Mt. Spokane after running eight miles for your angel team so I already have you down for even faster and, if you do beat opie on his own way to a PR, any wish you want come true at the Pink Door.
