San Jose Rock and Roll 1/2 Oct. 8th

Any Cool Runners planning on running the brand new Rock and Roll Half Marathon in San Jose on October 8th? Im going to register next week. Would be great to meet up with some of you.

Me too. I looked at the course and Google Earthed it and it looks long to me. Anybody else notice this?

Hey!

I was at an expo for a SF 12k and they have a very convincing display for the race ($10 off and a free shirt, plus a can of amino vital something or other) so I registered

I'm doing the San Diego RNR sunday, so with the San Jose, I'll get the special 39.3 mile medal. Free stuff always gets me! I also like the idea of running an innagural race.

frankie- are you living around the bay area or is this a race you'll be traveling to?

It'd be great fun to meet other coolrunners

Its official, I registered this morning. 'Bout time huh seeing as how I started this thread

Addy No I am not a bay area resident, I will be traveling from Arizona for this. I am in kinda the same boat as you, I ran PF Changs Full in January so Ill be looking foward to that additional medal from Elite.

Im glad to see we have some folks running this.

Got my early confirmation by email yesterday. Will get the official confirmation in September. Airline ticket is bought anf paid for and the hotel room has been reserved. Training starts Sunday. Hard to believe the run is only 12 weeks away.

In case anybody is interested Motionbased.com has posted a profile of the San Jose Half complete with elevation profile.

I posted earlier that I thought the posted course looked long and this profile puts the start line about .2 mile from the posted start line and this profile still has the course .18 miles longer than 13.11 miles. Is this normal for courses?

Hey all!

Didn't realized i had already posted on this when it was origonally posted, and had a brief confusing moment of reading my old post and thinking, "wow, this person sounds like me!"....yeah....being an overworked student is finally starting to show. I'm excited to do another race, since I haven't done one since June. I'm about a month into training for the OC marathon, so this race is more a training run, but it should be fun! Hows training going for everyone?
