Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Okay, I have now committed to the Disney Half, and I'm kind of nervous. This is my first 1/2. Tell me what to expect as far as # of people, crowd support, organization. Also, what in the world are you supposed to eat at 3 or 4 in the morning before you leave for the race?

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
I'm gearing up for my first back to back this weekend. Two races, I'm running the BAA half marathon on Sunday, followed by a 10k on Monday. Figured I'd get some doubled up race experience at lower mileage.

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Training is going well (knock on wood). This is my first Disney marathon and I am staying off of Disney property, is it easy to get there? Can I hop on a bus leaving from a Disney resort or do I need to find another way and If so, what is the easiest way?
Any help would be appreciated?

A buddy and I are leaving from Minnesota and found plane tickets for $228 though midwest airlines.

Good luck with training everybody and let's keep this post going.

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Just to kind of get everyone psyched, I thought I'd post a link to this year's Marathon Weekend program. We should be receiving this in the mail:

I'm really looking forward to it!

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Does anyone know if they are going to have a offical "in training" shirt for 2007? On the website all I see are 2006, so I wonder if I should just order one of those.
Thanks.

I'd wait. They are rolling out the information and marketing at the end of the month. Why get the 2006 shirt if you are running in 2007 if you want the shirt?

My half marathon went well today. I PR'd. I expect the 10k tomorrow to be slow. But, I feel relatively good so far.

Snooze, are you doing double long runs every weekend?

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Hey Guys,

I am running the Disney Marathon with Team in Training (Michigan Chapter). I am heading down to the marathon with a group of 5 or so other runners (some half, some full, but no "Goofy" runners this year).

Has anyone done the Disney Marathon with Team in Training before? I am not sure where we will be staying at. I am very excited for this race (except for the 6am start!). Good luck with the training

Brian

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Well, I was hoping to change my full marathon registration to a half marathon...no dice. Ugh!

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
Does anybody have an update on whether or not there will be any pace teams this year? I checked over at www.clifbar.com[/URL" target="_blank"> and they do not list WDW Marathon.

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
I'm also pretty certain we'll be pacing some groups for the half marathon on Sat as well. Typical groups for us for a full marathon is 3:10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 4:00, 15, 30, 5:00, and 5:30.

Re: Disney World Marathon 2007
I saw the post 7 down on page 4 but it was not definitive, just saying "our plan" and not "we will." Alas, given PacerChris' response, it appears there is still nothing definitive. So, . . .

Dear PacerChris: If that changes to the (hopefully to the good) please let us know! Thanks.
