I've always pictured Nebraska as flat - so maybe the CMM course would be considered hilly to you - or else my assumption of Nebraska was wrong. I've never been to your state. Where I'm from, the hills on the course are not that tough but, like you said, hills are all relative to runners and their experiences running them. This may sound stupid but I have no idea what DD is?

Totally agree...I'm registering for the full marathon, but haven't done it yet because it's a pain. I'd love to just mail them a check and a registration form, but no, that's not an option. I guess I'll jump through all of the hoops today or tomorrow.

Sorry...DD is dear daughter.
My 28 year old Daughter is running her first half at Nashville with me.

25 year old daughter is running the Full maratahon at Nashville. it will be her 3rd.

19 yo son was going to run the full(his second) but college got in the way so he is dropping back to run the half. He has never run a half before. I am sure he will smoke us all.

Husband was going to run the half also but he is on the disabled list with achilles tendonitis since December.

That was probably more than you wnated to know.

Nebraska is flat except for Omaha, where I live. We have hills as a result of the Missouri river.

Well they did respond, finally, emailed me an application, but I had already given up and done the online thing, since DW is running the half and it was almost closed.

pmcneb: I think the packets will be distributed at the expo. That's usually how it's done.

I got my confirmation packet in the mail yeasterday. That is what I have been waiting for. Supposedly you need the confirmation letter to pick up your packet at the expo.

It says I am in corral number 22. That is way back where the slow folks belong....

Yeah, I got my packet yesterday. I'm in corral 3 and hope they don't stomp all over me. I'll have to give an ole mule kick if they do. The point now is to stay injury and illness free for the next 17 days.

And not to over train. I get panicked about this time and feel I have not done enough so I want to go out and run every day. Not a good plan.

I'm in Corral 20, but I put a really slow time for my predicted time and am ahead of people that predicted they'd do the half at a faster pace...

Also, I have ITB issues and am not sure if I'll even be able to run it.

So do you think they seeded the corrals differently for marathoners versus Half people?

I guess it would make sense. Your race strategy would be differerent.

I am only runnning the half.

The elevation profile on the CMM site is pretty useless. For those who want more detail, I mapped it on gmap-pedometer:

I must not have taken quite an optimal line; I get 26.4 miles. Also a few of the mile markers appear to be not quite in the right place. But the elevation profile should be about right. (But note that the big dip in mile 20 evidently assumes that you are running on the surface of the river instead of the bridge.

I haven't gotten my race packet or letter or whatever it is yet....I'm running with Team in Training in memory of my friend Boone who would have been 20...anyway, should I be worried that I didn't get mine yet or do y'all think its just done differently with TnT?

Awesome man. Thanks for putting the effort in to create this.
As for the distance, in order to be certified the marathon has to be at least 26.2 miles. It's likely to be just a bit over 26.2, but probably shorter than what comes up via gmaps. It's actually pretty close all things considered.
