How long is it 70-100 miles? Is that all?(not sarcastically seriously) No more? In 13 yrs I'll be 29(YIKES that's old!). Sure, 13 yrs...that's about how long it will take me to train for it I guess.

event details:
name: Western States 100
dist./type: 100 mile trail ultramarathon
projected date: June 27, 2015
location: Squaw Valley, CA
entry type: qualification and lottery. go here[/URL" target="_blank"> for qualifying details.
additional req.: 8 hrs volunteer trail work/road race

this IS NOT an easy jaunt in the woods. this year, there were about 120 well-trained, seasoned runners who were unable to finish of 372 starters.

Sign me up. Although I hope to do a few 100 milers before then. Anybody down for the Badwater as well (135 mile race with over 13,000 feet elevation gain)? That's my goal.

100 miles without time limit is so easy. im only 13 years old but i think the amount i walked and ran is more than 100 miles already

lol you guys are crazy! good luck though! i think i'll be sticking with training for my events this year in track. mile and two mile, and when i get older, maybe just maybe i'll do marathons. (yeah im wimpy) but have fun...

I have to wait until I do a marathon first, but I think with proper training I can do it.

hey join the club! the annual boston (half)marathon bandit run is a tradition for me and a couple teammates. (once you get to Wellesley you'll see why we stopped halfway there )
