Tri guy getting back in the game

I'm primarily a tri guy, but have recently been interested in getting back into tennis (maybe the US Open is having an effect on me). Anyone in the So Cal area know of some great public places to play?

If you're in central San Diego check out Balboa Tennis Club in the north side of Balboa Park off Upas. They offer lessons, memberships, day rates and tournaments. Real nice people and a nice community.

Otherwise, there's the La Jolla Tennis Club up north, and further north the La Costa Resort and Spa , the home of the Acura Classic . We're talking a little more $$ for these two options.


As for other public parks, I'd have to do some more research...Try Google mapping your neighborhood and look for tennis courts...;-)
