normal resting pulse

Is it normal for my resting pulse to be around 100 but when im asleep its in the upper 40's. I also have ADHD. But if I run 1.5 miles at 8 minutes/mile it only goes to 140

that's interesting. do you regularly test your HR while you sleep? a resting HR of 100 would be incredibly unhealthy. i also doubt that a HR would change that much with the only difference being sleeping/awake.

i'm wondering if it's even possible to have a RHR that high with a BP that low. why do you check your HR and BP so much? unless you have a CV condition that you have to be concerned about (which might keep you from running in the first place), there isn't much reason to check them so often.

Maybe I've been wrong all these years, I thought that the definition of resting pulse WAS your pulse rate while sleeping (or very relaxed). Under what conditions did you determine that your "resting pulse" was 100?
