what? only his autograph?

you should have ripped off his shorts or shirt and run away. but be careful, even though he just finished a race, he still might catch you

Kenyan where'd you sit? me and three lucky teammates ran into a guy out front who happened to have four tickets, begged our way into the front of the line in, and scoot through the lobby just in time to see our star Macdonald go through 800 in the girls' High School mile. After our unbelievable luck, we were on such a high that everything about the event just seemed amazing. (Becca ended up 5th in 5:18, a 5 second PR)

After we all calmed down, we planted ourselves on the floor by the 2-mile start line, in front of the Michigan squad, and surrounded by Ethiopia to watch the rest of the events. We got pretty crushed once Gebrselassie hit the track, but it was really fun. Anyone else go?

If she was a young gal, did you thank her by asking her to dinner? If you didn't, you messed up.

Wow that's awesome kenyan.

JJ: Do you run indoor track? And if you do do you think you will qualify for New Englands in the 2 mile? I'm interested to know because I'm from Vermont and I may qualify for New Englands in the 2 mile.

Sorry for changing the subject please everyone keep talking about Haile Gebrselassie.

Dan, I run indoor but I'm nowhere near moving on past Massachusetts. I have two more guaranteed chances to run the deuce this season, and if i can miraculously run two sub-5s in a row at Class A then I may have a chance to make the cut to compete at all-state. I don't know the advancement places to move on from State to New Englands though; is it top 6 too?

Season goal: 9:57, new school record. Time is running out...

Re: i got Haile Gebrselassie's autograph last night....
Yes it is top 6 in each state advance. You must have some pretty heavy competition in Massachusetts for indoor track because in Vermont you would probably be 1st or 2nd in the 2 mile with a 9:57. Of course we don't have nearly as much talent as indoor track isn't particulary popular but that is still an impressive time.

This must explain why Massachusetts thinks their too good to participate in New Englands in XC...jk

I'm hoping to run sub 10:50 and place somewhere from 4th to 6th.

I'm in the Brattleboro area.

Are you going to college in the Burlingron area or do you just live up there?

Re: i got Haile Gebrselassie's autograph last night....
hey, I'm from Weymouth.

10:19 is awesome for a soph; I'm sure you'll be breaking 10 before you know it. What Div/Class is your school in? the 2 mile qualifying times are so different between class A and class D.

Yes, I just barely made the cut to move on to all-state at Northfield. I was the last individual Qualifier from Division 1 eastern MA. At northfield I finished 45th in 17:27.
