Re: xc or track?
x-country is better because it feels more like a family. on race day everyone runs the same course, the same hillss. you know that the others go up it like you do. In track people run different events and you don't know what the others feel.

Re: xc or track?
During track I want to to XC. During XC i want to do track. I do think I love track more because it is much easier for me to compare how I ran last year to this year and there's also the best running event ever the steeplechase. I like running it and I love watching it.

Re: xc or track?
I like xc because there is more variety than just running on flat ground in a circle.

Re: xc or track?
think about it. would you rather run in circles for ever and ever or go on a nice run with your friends in a scenic view. I personally think going around and around and around the same thing is extremely boring.

Re: xc or track?
Thats definately a hard one. There are perks on each team. Personally i like the fact that track is during the spring. I always feel so energized during the spring because the sun is out later, and breats brighter. I dont know though. THats pretty much the only thing i like about it.

Now X-country on the other hand. I think Cross Country is a "nice people" sport. Everyone that i have met through Cross Country has been extremely nice (it may just be a running thing too though ) I also like the training/ the coach a lot better. SHe can focus on the whole team at once, rather than individuals and you having to wait for her attention (like in track). Also, i love running THETFROD ANNUAL TRAIL RUN. it is the best part of the season. leave changing...thats my kind of race. and none of that 8 laps for a 3200, or worse 16 for indoor .

So...yes...my conclusion is that XC is definately, without a doubt better than track.

Re: xc or track?
I've never done Track but XC is definatly the greatest things. Except for that weird kid with dreds. Yeah I went to Conneticut this year as a freshman and it was one of the funnest things ever. Just messing around all the way there and back. It was great. I LOVE XC

Re: xc or track?
Xc all the way, i just think thats is has a better atmosphere which makes it more fun. On of my worst races was the funniest...Thetford NH for any one who ran it. It rained all day and i was in the last race....the course was completely torn up....though my time was a little slower than usual it was a wicked lot of fun i fell at least 4 times and was covered in mud by the end. Plus i hate running in circles.........

Re: xc or track?
I think you mean Thetford VT...but anyways that was an awesome race. Everyone just slid down the hills pushing against each other to stay up. We also ran their a month later for states and the course was still torn up from the last meet. Thetford is a great course and when its in good condition its one of the best I've seen.

XC is defiently more fun with all the different atmospheres and team unity, unlike track where the team splits into groups and we do this yoga **** for our stretching. Plus the competition is better in XC than in the 3000 in track.

Just wondering...which do u ppl like better, xc or track?

XC for me, and for almost everybody on my team who does both.
im not too fond of running around in circles...i feel like a hamster or something esp in winter in the 3000 - 15 laps can be horrible!!

XC all the way. Track is miserably boring.
