XC running camps

Does anyone know of any good cross-country running camps in the northeastern-ish area? Resident camps, not day camps.. if possible.

Camp Fitch around Lake Erie. It's sponsored by the Youngstown YMCA. And you can check out the site www.campfitch.com[/URL" target="_blank"> for more information. I thought this camp was really good and it helped prepare me alot for xc.

Re: XC running camps
Colby College has one in Maine every year, and I hear it's good. It fills every year, and XC team runs it.

Conn College also has one, but may be day camp. I think you can do overnight if you want and stay in dorms. That is in New London, CT.

Re: XC running camps
The northeastern-ish area is pretty big; you might want to clarify where you're willing to travel. There are a lot in New England, my college has one for high school runners the last week in July.

Re: XC running camps
There is also Peak Running Camp in the Lake Placid area... northern ny. Its a great camp, lots of cool people, co-ed, free time, morning and afternoon runs, and a lecture. You can eat whenever you want and you can get free gatorade and powerbars :-D

Re: XC running camps
ahh runaround13, i went to peak! Who are you and what session did you go to?

whatadoll, there's no site. The only way you can get information is if you mail/call John Underwood. I think I have his info if you want it. The camps about $395 i think? Maybe runaround can help me out here. But it's an awesome camp. The food is second only to the running

Theres also Green Mountain Running Camp, aka GMRC. It's in vermont, and i hear its better than peak (I didnt think it was possible). I didnt go to it, but two of my teammates did. Its great for any level runner. One of my teammates is a 4:24 miler, and section champ in xc, the other is about a 4:55 miler, and maybe 75th in the section. So it really doesnt matter about your level of fitness.

Both come highly recommended.

Re: XC running camps
I also went to Foss Running Camp. It was a lot of fun. They also had the 1994 Footlocker Champion, Matt Downin there.
