Re: favorite distance
I'd say the javelin runway (13 steps) and the distance to the highjump bar (11 steps) are my favorites. The 400 might by my least favorite, but my most competitive (1:01)

Re: favorite distance
my favorite distance in track is the 3000, my best time is 11:03. (im not running anywhere around there now though, id be lucky if i could break 11:30. im SOOO out of shape.)
the most fun distance is the 800, probably because i only do it in relays and my team has a decent 4x8. my best time is 2:26 (the team's best time is 9:53, if i remember correctly).
of course, the 3mi/5k in xc are much better than any track event, but those are the only xc distances ive run and they are practically the same thing, so i cant compare them to anything.

Re: favorite distance
Favorite would definitely have to the 800m. Ran it for the first time last year as a sophomore in hs and ended the season with a 2:20.61. I know it ain't the greatest but that's why I'm ready for track to begin in March so the times will start going down.

Re: favorite distance
definantly the mile, anything below takes too much speed, anything above is too boring

Re: favorite distance
I love to just go out and hammer out those 10 mile runs. Anything longer than 10 miles makes me happy

Re: favorite distance
Mile or 5K for me. Mile is to short.

Mile- about 5-6 mins.
5K- about 20-30 mins.

Re: favorite distance
I like the mile a whole lot, I'm at 4:42 at this very second, with hopes of being under 4:30 by May.
