Re: Who's your favorite runner?
Suzy Favor Hamilton!
she is from WI (as am I) and I always ran track meets at her former High School (Stevens Point) and they have this huge picture of her hanging in their gym. My goal then was to break her state record in the 800 of
2:09.88, but in reality I never even came close.

She is a Goddess! and my role model.

I like Albert Belle. If you got in his way he would knock you out of the baseline.

Pre, naturally.

Re: Who's your favorite runner?
Pre without a doubt!!! He was the best runner America ever had. He was larger than life, in a sport that doesn't get as much respect as it should. Nobody accomplished more in such a short period. 1st athlete to win 4 straight NCAA championships in any one event(5000 meters, or 3 mile?), 4 NCAA cross country championships. A whole slew of American records. He ran the 2 mile, 3 mile, 5000, 10,000. He was the best. He beat everybody including all the great Villanova runners.

Re: Who's your favorite runner?
Kenenisa Bekele definitely (Olympic 10k race was awesome), but I suppose if I wanted to be patriotic and pick an American, Ritz is a pretty cool guy.
