There?s a lot more to cycling than just Lance Armstrong or just the Tour de France.

Re: Lance Armstrong
I love biking, Lance Armstrong is very good but is not the greatest cyclist ever by far. Eddy Mercx is the best biker ever, 5 tour wins, multiple Giro victories, dozens of classics wins, simpily put he has won every race there is to win. Also although he won the Tour 2 times less than Lance he has worn the yellow jersey about 30 days more than Lance.

I always watch the Tour de France, but then again, I?m not an American. I?m Flemish and we?re nuts about cycling (just take a look at all the yellow flags with the black lion alongside the road). I doubt Lance Armstrong will win for the 7th time though. It seems he?s less dedicated with his training this year. Maybe now the Tour will become a bit more exiting.

The yellow flag for anybody who is wondering is the Flanders flag, a very respected race earlier in the year.

I get really suspicious whenever an American is dominating at something or does something that seems supernatural. Carl Lewis passed all his drug tests too, and we know how clean he was. In a sport like cycling that is riddled with drugs, and you have a guy who comes from a nation who has long notorious history of doping violations and does the unthinkable and comes back from testicular cancer (a disease thats treatment is a killer in itself) and wins 6 Tour Du France's. Tell me which Hollywood production company has the rights to this one.

If you can't even spell the Tour de France correctly you shouldn't be analyzing a great in the event.

That's a grammar mistake not a spelling mistake, maybe try learning a bit about the language spoken in the country in question before deciding what's a spelling mistake.

It's also great to see Manny Ramirez travelling to the Dominican Republic and beating the Americans at their own game. God bless Manny Ramirez and God bless the Dominican Republic.

Wait, do people actually live outside the United States? No way, right?

Ditto when the U.S Dream team lost to Puerto Rico in the Olympic basketball tournament. God bless Puerto Rico and their basketball team.

Re: Lance Armstrong
Why is it that the media in the United States has to turn everything into a Hollywood Production. And these wristbands! Half the people wearing them are just followers. Really, I love seeing someone light up a smoke and then go on to explain the purpose of the wristband. I know that I am not alone in saying that the U.S trys to hype situations like this up to cover up all its short comings in every other aspect of life in the world.

Great, we have two diametrically opposite set of incoherent, poorly-conceived political opinions.

You are correct: the yellow braceletes are really a way for the United States to deflect potential criticism for controversial actions like the war in Iraq, the appointment of Michael Bolton to the UN and its resistance to the Kyoto Protocol. Well done Sherlock, well done.

I think you took it word for word. I mean really, the U.S media still to this day brag about their gold medal win over Russia in 1980. If the U.S is so great, why is it when most Americans travel, they wear Canadian Shirts or flags?

Re: Lance Armstrong
Really? I've never even heard an American mention their victory in 1980.

How about you ask the Americans here if they still brag about their gold medal in hockey at Moscow? My guess is that they won't, since Americans don't care about hockey.

You also might want to ask them if they travel with Canadian flags on their backpack.
