I need advice on long runs..

What's the best day to take off during a week? I used to take the day off before a long run, but I'm not sure if I should be doing that. I usually do my long runs on Sunday, but I'm thinking of taking today off, then doing a decent length run tomorrow. Saturday, I'd so something fairly light, and Sunday would be the long run.

Opinions?

Re: I need advice on long runs..
this is really a matter of personal preference. for me, I like taking off the second day after a long run. the day after a long run is just a short, easy run to keep me from cramping/getting too sore. the next day I just take it easy because my legs usually are ready for a break, and DOMS (delayed-onset muscle fatigue aka day-after soreness) is actually worst about 48 hours after exertion. but the scheduling just comes down to how your body best deals with what you throw at it.
