When your on your tredmill, what speed/distance do you do?

That is when its impossible to run outside... Also what's the calory difference between running 1 mile outside, and , 1 mile inside? (same speed)

I think it all is personal you know, try to maintain the speed you normally run. If you want to burn just as much calories on the tredmill as you do outside I feel you have to go a little bit faster. you might find someone with better advice on a different part of the disussion board.. like where there are more experienced runners

i run a lot on the TM and find that I average about 115 cal/mile. I jsut ran a half marathon this weekend and found that I burned 1549 cal total or 118 cal a mile and the course was windy cold and hilly. So for me, at least on this comparison, there is no difference.
