Share your experience with a European runner.

Hey everyone,

The question that I?m going to ask doesn?t really have anything to do with running, but since I am a runner and this is the only American forum I participate in, I?ll ask it here. I know that runners are kind and helpful people so here goes:

I have to make a paper about how teenagers are portrayed in the media and I chose movies. I have to give some attention to typical ?high school comedies?. You definitely know those movies about jocks, cheerleaders, computer nerds, ?
- What other stereotypical groups are commonly used in real life and in movies?
- Do you know any good movies with an accurate portrayal of how everyday life is in an American high school?

Thanks in advance,

R4P

watch Dazed and Confused it might not be made recently, but it gives you an idea about a couple of groups not talked about much in other films. It also is hillarious

both of those and also Pump up the Volume (my personal favorite)

It's about a teen radio pirate who urges classmates to stand up to somewhat of a screwed up administration. The tyrannical nature of some of the administrators is a bit overdone, but it's a really accurate portrayal of teenagers and their emotions..

Don't know of any movies. Don't get out much but as for other groups, you can't leave out the gothic, emo, "ska", and punk kids. Or the "gangster kids" with the oversized clothes, jewelry and hats.

Um...wel if the paper is about teens and how they're portrayed in the media then movies are a pretty good start.
Just watch Saved By The Bell. They give you everything.

I was out the other day and I said, without thinking, "time? there's no time, there's never any time!"

The person I was talking to replied with "I'm soooooo exciiiiitted!"

If you really think Bayside rules, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
