Re: Middle School Mile Times
Whoa, everybody's so fast in 8th grade. My mile time was only 6:04. And my 7th grade was worse! 8:28!

Hey xcrunner..... I'm a sophomore in RI. Where do you go to school? I don't think we have a middle school running program here in warwick.

Re: Middle School Mile Times
yes chumsae.....i definately believe that you can smash the world record in the mile. Yet are nearly 50 seconds off the world record 2mile. (i know you were kidding) just screwed times.

First of all, any middle school cross country runners here?
If so, what are your mile times?
and you older people, how fast did u run a mile in middle school?
I'm at like 6:10 but i think that's pretty slow
What do you guys do to train?

<HR>

i ran a 5:49 in 8th grade which was last year...im down to a 5:15 as a 9th grader so you can improve a lot over one year...i'd say run a lot and do some speed work outs...and go hard at them too cuz you won't get better if you just jog them or w/e...so just try that and see if it works...surely it will

Re: Middle School Mile Times
I am a parent of an 8th grade girl track team member. The female miler on her team ran a 5:47 mile at the meet I attended this year. she won the mile event at every meet of the season. This girl was 13 at the time, but close to 14. Our school is in a suburb of Philly.

Re: Middle School Mile Times
I also went undefeated the entire season. The girl who placed second and was in the 5:30s was on my team. I also read about a girl named Waverly (north of me) who ran even faster on a forum at www.hoosierauthority.com.[/URL" target="_blank">
