What are the temps going to be in Baltimore?

 

There's a group of us coming from Jackson, Mississippi, to run in the marathon. We're wondering what the temps are going to be. We're still in the 90's down here (75 at 6 a.m.) so we're not sure what to expect up there.

Usually the temperatures in Baltimore in mid-October range from the low-mid 60s in the morning to lower 70s in the afternoon.  It's not uncommon though to hit 80 degrees in October.  Last year it was a little chilly in the morning around 55 or so but then by the late morning it was absolutely beautiful.  It got up to the low-mid 70s and was fantastic to run in.  I would be prepared to run in chilly weather knowing that it could warm up.  You can always take off a layer if needed before you run.

Thanks for the response. We love 50's and 60's down here. We just don't get them until late November most years. There's nothing like going over to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving or Christmas lunch and sweating between the car and the house!

Well, actually the last two years at the start of the half marathon at 9:45 the temperature has been right at 50F. Absolutely perfect weather. It's probably going to be good at 8am, but as the other poster said, you never know. The first year Baltimore was run, folks tell me it was 78F at the start. Last year it got up to the low 70s in early November. But regardless, most likely the humidity will have mostly gone and running will be good. On weather.com the average for 13 October is a low of 52 and a high of 71. That would be fine. We've been running above average for a while so let's hope and pray we cool down a bit. Whatever the weather, I hope you have a great time here in Bawlmer!

I'll take 60's at 8 a.m. Had a beautiful morning down here for my run. Actually a little cold. We're really looking forward to Baltimore. We had a little get-together last night and everyone's excited and ready!

Weather.com is showing in the 10 day forecast:  51 Low / 70 High Partly Cloudy, 10% Chance Precip.

No doubt! We've had cool mornings for the last week or so and it feels great! Y'all stay away from and rain dances for the next 10 days up there.

Right now the weather is predicted as follows for October 13th:

 

 

Low temp: 52o F

 

 

High temp: 66o F
