Running Music

What's on your Ipod these days... when you run, I mean.

Re: Running Music
i would use an ipod if someone would show me how to keep the earbuds in your ear while running...

oh yeah for some reason a few years back the magic school bus theme song used to play in my head during distance workouts.

Re: Running Music
I always use an iPod when I run. Usually Tool, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, A Perfect Circle, Rush . . . and so forth. I'm well aware of the raging debate -- iPod vs. not -- but I find it more motivating to have music. Makes me a better runner, and gets me better race times.

That's my 2 pennies. :-)

Re: Running Music
I live in saint pete florida and run on the side of busy roadsand high ways I have almost gotten killed how it is. If I was to use an i-pod that would be like suiside. But I am sort of an air head and zone out a lot. That might have something to do with it.

Re: Running Music
Alright I suppose I could give a real answer. Let's see, for running it's definitely Rise Against, Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonforce, Eminem, Linkin Park (NOT their new CD, ughhh), Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, The Offspring.... And of course some random songs by others, but you get the jist.

Whoever said Radiohead....amazing band but they just don't do it for me as far as "running music" goes. Same for Rush. LOVE them but not for running.

Also....

Saying that "real runners" don't use iPods is just as stupid as saying that only "real runners" wear Mizuno. It's all a matter of personal preferance. Besides there's no such thing as a "real runner." There are just those who run, and those who don't. The elitist attitude that some runners have really annoys me.

Re: Running Music
Maybe we shouldn't say real runners don't wear iPods. I think it's more accurate to say that safe runners don't wear iPods.

Re: Running Music
And for the record there is only one song you even need to listen to again for the rest of your life. The Salmon Dance...
