Anyone have any ideas for a running related tattoo?

Re: Tattoo
Get a tattoo across your forehead. Have a picture of a guy running. Shave your head.

Re: Tattoo
If you have a favorite loop, you could get the shape tattood somewhere; or a favorite running-related logo/sign etc.; or a favorite running quote; if you have a PR you're increadibly proud of or a running related accomplishment (say running a HM or whatever) you can get the PR time, or HM time or whatever....
Having tattoos myself, I finrmly believe that they are something that you should create yourself through emotions, memories, and desires. Think about what it is you love most about running, what it is you want to remember about it for the rest of your life, and then try and display that with simple imagery.
Good luck! And FYI-they take time to heal, so if you get it somewhere that interferes with running (most anywhere, really) expect to lay off for a few days, as it will be RAW.

Re: Tattoo
At a recent race I saw a guy with wings on the outisde of each ankle. It looked pretty cool, but I thought it made him look like a running elitist. Funny things was, it was a 1 mile race and he finished almost last, in like 6 minutes. Maybe he was recovering from an injury or something.

Re: Tattoo
How about things in nature that are fast? There's always the fast animals, cheetas, horses etc. Also, something stylized that represents wind.

Re: Tattoo
I would love a tatoo. My goal is to finish an ironman and get that symbol. Along with something Christian. I know it might not make since but, you got to get something you love. And whats better than God and tri's. Not excluding family, of course.

I coach a HS cross country team, so one year when they won a state title I got a tattoo with the "CC" symbol on it, like this:

Re: Tattoo
I'm planning on my running my first marathon in Dublin-hopefully 2008. If I make it, I'm going to get a tattoo of a shamrock with my finish time and date.
